Dieses Spielbuch entstand aus dem Bedürfnis heraus Klarheit und Übersicht über die vielen Tanzmelodien zu erhalten, die wir uns in den letzten drei Jahren in diversen Workshops, auf Bällen und in Sessions uns angeeignet und die wir weitervermittelt haben. Es ist für uns ein andauernder Prozess des Experimentierens und der Suche nach Tanzschritten und Tanzmusik, die einerseits verwurzelt sind in dem was man als traditionell oder folk bezeichnen würde, andererseits aber auch immer die Vielfalt und Wandelbarkeit unseres heutigen Lebens wiederspiegeln. Wir freuen uns, wenn diese Melodien weitergetragen werden und ihren Weg wieder auf die Tanzfläche finden. Wie das passiert, ist letztlich jedem selbst überlassen.

This Session Book was created for the simple need to organize and clarify the many dance tunes we have adapted in various workshops, dances and jam sessions during the last three years. This collection is part of an ongoing process of experimentation and search for dances and music. These tunes are, on one hand rooted in what one would call traditional or folk, but on the other hand they also reflect the diversity and dynamics of our life today. It would make us happy if these melodies are carried on and make their way back to the dance floor. How this occurs is ultimately left to oneself and the folk community.
